Writing has always been one of the ways I work through ideas.
Over the years I’ve written books on a wide range of subjects, from school governance and bid writing to blogging, alongside a memoir about my family’s adventure building a home in rural France.
At first glance they may seem like an eclectic collection, but they all have something in common. Each began with a question, a challenge or an experience that I thought might help someone else.
Some books were written to support professionals. Others were written for bloggers, parents or people embarking on a project of their own. One simply tells the story of a family chasing a dream.
Together, they reflect different stages of my career and different chapters of my life.
Memoir
Perhaps the most personal of my books, Brick by Brick tells the story of my family’s journey to build our dream home in rural France.
It’s about far more than bricks and mortar. It’s a story of resilience, family, community and discovering that the things we value most are often built long before the house itself is finished.
